Currently we are open Monday to Friday for two sessions per day:- 9.00am to 12.00am and 12.15pm to 3.15pm. Children staying all day will be fully cared for from 9.00am till 3.15pm and should bring a packed lunch and drink. The cost per session is £10 for non-funded children. Fees are payable half-termly.

Government funding - Children are eligible for government funding from the term AFTER their third birthday. The table below shows which term you will be able to claim funding from:

When claiming government funding Martlesham Playschool will supply you with all the necessary forms.

There are five staff on duty at each session, one Playleader and four Assistant Playleaders, and often a Parent helper. We have 24 children attending each session, retaining the Martlesham Playschool's high adult/child ratio. Our staff hold recognised First Aid and Food Hygiene Certificates.

Parents, relatives, childminders/nannies/carers are encouraged to join in with sessions and are asked to help once or twice each half-term. They are also welcome to participate in any fundraising activities and/or join the friendly committee.

Our friendly committee, elected every October, meets roughly once every half term. A list of the dates is posted on our noticeboard and we encourage all our parents to come along and join in, raise any items for discussion. As part of our committee, our fund-raising team organises many events throughout the year. Recently we have held very successful Pamper Evenings, and our annual Fun Day is always a huge success. The children have, in the past, created calendars, tile handprints, place mats, PE bags for sale. We also hold a sponsored event every year (an Easter egg hunt, or cycle round the playground!).
